A morning of play with Grandma and Grandpa, then a swim, can really tucker a girl out … but lunch always comes first!

This August, within two weeks of each other, both my brother and Dan’s brother are getting married to wonderful gals. Duncan and Stephanie are getting hitched in mid-August in Red Deer. Though we haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Steph in person, we’ve heard nothing but the most amazing things about this girl since they first started dating. We are very much looking forward to seeing these two get married -especially since there was a chance we wouldn’t have been able to make it. But with some swift re-scheduling, we should make it just in time for the ceremony – and wil thankfully be staying for a few days after to catch up with everybody.
When my brother finally asked his girlfriend Vinnie to marry him and I couldn’t have been happier (and it’s not just becausse she is the Best. Cook. Ever. ) These two are perfect for each other and were meant to be together. And she was meant to be part of our family. She has always been incredibly warm and welcoming to all of us and she always pays special attention to Jaia who thinks the world of her Auntie Vinnie. With a couple of other weddings to look forward to IN AUGUST (including Kris and Kurt’s, in beautiful Victoria), it looks like the Fullertons dance card will be full this summer!

When will you be in Victoria? Alas, we’re missing the K&K wedding by a matter of days but if you’re there before the 12th then maybe the babies could have a play date?

Rachel! We will be arriving on the 12th in the afternoon, I believe. When are you leaving? I would love a playdate (cofffee for the mamas) if we can squeeze it in. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It’s been some time since we’ve seen our parents and therefore it’s been too long since they’ve seen Jaia. We thought we’d remedy that with a picture or two. I hope these make you smile today. We’re missing all of you.

The light in this series is amazing – was it the time of day? Oh, and the kid is pretty cute too 😉

Gorgeous pics. That’s a pretty impressive fake hot dog, it had me fooled. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I loved working from home, so the thought of fighting traffic every day for 45 minutes each way was definitely a strike against the new job I started in March. Anyone who knows me knows I don’t have much time for music on the radio … I’d much rather listen to my playlists, or talk radio, or in recent years podcasts. Podcasts kept me busy those first few weeks, and the traffic was painful but at least they kept my mind off it (not enough to distract me from driving, of course :)) But then, on the recommendation of one said podcast, I signed up for a trial with audible.com, and downloaded the first book of “The Wheel of Time” by Robert Jordan, “The Eye of the World”. It’s high fantasy in the Tolkien tradition, which I’ve loved at certain points in my life, but not in recent years. It totally hooked me. It’s more than someone just reading a book, it’s a performance. I’m almost done the first book, 30 hours (!) later. It’s really numbed the pain of the terrible traffic this week. I also listen to it when walking Humph, when running, when cleaning the house, and sometimes instead of reading before bed. I’m addicted. I don’t know if the passion for audiobooks will last past Michael Kramer reading the works of Robert Jordan, but I do know this: I have 11 more books at 30 hrs each to go before I have to find out! If I listen 2 hrs a day, that will take me the next 6 months! I know, say it: NERD. I’m OK with that.
