4 years ago  I had breakfast with my mom and my girls.

4 years ago I got my hair and make up done.

4 years ago I slipped into the prettiest wedding dress there ever was.

4 years ago I was followed around by a photographer.

4 years ago I posed for pictures.

4 years ago I got in the back of a limosine and drove for what seemed like hours.

4 years ago I was handed a special note.

4 years ago I walked down the aisle, arm in arm with my dad.

4 years ago I saw him standing there.

4 years ago I said my vows.

4 years ago I kissed my husband.

4 years ago I was happy.

I remember every detail from that day.  And the thing I remember most was not being the least bit nervous.  There I was, marrying my best friend, and I knew that day, as I had always known, that I was the luckiest. 😉

And it keep getting better.

Dan - Nope. *I’m* the luckiest 🙂

How did you get the photographer to stop following you?

Auntie Jen - And 4 years ago you cried at the Mac counter. Tears of happiness.
Member? It was cute 🙂

shannen - Yes. Right after the girl finished applying the make-up. My sense of timing has always been a little off…

rachel Edwards - Oh crivens, you made me cry just reading that! Happy anniversary.

Long weekends are my favourite

…and they are especially nice when we get to share them with family.  This time we had Dan’s aunt and cousin in town from Saskatchewan.  We had oodles of plans and the weather did not play along.

But we made due.  We did lots of touring – including an attempt to go to the Museum of Civilization…with thousands of our closest friends.  Apparently that’s where EVERYONE goes during a downpour on a long weekend.  There were no parking spots (should have been our first clue) and we were told that the line to get a ticket would take atleast 45 minutes!  We decided against waiting.  Civilization would have to wait until next time.

It was no surprise to me, but Jaia fell deeply in love with her cousin.  They were pretty well inseparable for the enitre visit.  Karlee was so patient with the energetic and imaginative 2-year old.  I see some serious babysitting cash in Karlee’s future.  I only wish we lived closer….

Shirley and Karlee also seemed happy to oblige when I asked if I could truck them downtown and snap a few photos.  And good thing, too.  Look how gorgeous these two are.

Jen - Everyone needs a Karlee in their life!

Fine. Since you asked nicely…

Here are a few more from the Mother’s scout about.

I couldn’t narrow down my favourites…

Dan - So great to have your 3rd Mother’s Day documented like this 🙂 This needs to happen more often …

Kris - Absolutely gorgeous photos. My favorites are the one of her and Dan standing against the tree, and the one of Jaia against the brick wall, blowing on a dandelion. I love them!
