Day 332 – Thinking outside the box

Instead of putting on a bib (bibs are for babies – are we seeing a trend around here?), Little Miss decided she had a much better solution. She dashed out for a few minutes, returning to the table wearing only her robe.  The pretty dress she’d been wearing – safe.  Hilarious moment – so worth it.

And in case you were wondering, the robe made it out unscathed as well.

Day 331 – A familiar scene around here…

No matter how hard I try, I can’t get Jaia to nap in the afternoon.  I’ve tried being sweet about it.  I’ve tried making the prospect of a nap fun.  I’ve even tried bribing her.  But she’s firm on the issue.  No naps.  Naps are for babies.  (I beg to differ…)

Though she refuses to go down for a nap, her fatigue often finds a way of rearing it’s ugly head.  And when I say ugly, I mean ugly.  So when she falls asleep on her own, I rarely wake her unless I have to.  Hence this:

You can imagine the looks I got as we strolled around the store.  Half were smiles, half were judgmental.  I say pick your battles.  This was one I was choosing not to fight.

And then a few days later:

And not only in one store but with a wake-up and a short drive in between:

Lucky lady.  I’d kill for a nap like this now and then.
