I’ve been crazy busy lately. I know, it sounds a bit nuts seeing as I don’t spend every day in an office right now, but it’s true. Christmas prep has been exhausting this year. Where does the time go?? Anyway, all that to say that I should have sent birthday wishes this week to two of my favourite people. A quick message on Facebook shouldn’t cut it, and I’m ashamed that’s all I did. So, Auntie Lizzie

Thanks! This is a crazy time of year for everyone and I can only imagine how much more so it would be with my favorite “niece” toddling around as well. I did get your FB birthday wishes! That picture still makes me giggle…and it’s still one of my favorites.

I should add that I think you have a pretty great excuse for being a couple of days late on the birthday blog!!! So no worries…we will celebrate together soon!       We are all (Humph and the cats too) excited for Dan’s return tomorrow. Especially Jaia. She can’t wait. She hasn’t said so, but I can tell.

I’m almost home! Well, not really. I’m done the first leg to Tokyo. Now 15 hours in economy class to Toronto (no upgrade :@). Ugh. That is a really beautiful photo. I’m going to have to order one of your hats, for sure! Jaia is the proud new owner of a lovely pair of purple snowpants. When we bought her uber adorable coat, it didn’t actually occur to me that she’d be walking and able to play in the snow, so I never thought to buy anything to cover her little legs. And then it snowed. And then she took her first steps. So snowpants it is. And she loved every second of being out in the snow. I can’t wait until we make our first snowman, but we’ll wait until Dan gets back for that one.

LOVE the snowsuit…I can’t wait to see her playing in the snow for myself. Hopefully we’ll have some while you’re in Virginia!!! A bathtime montage so Dan doesn’t feel left out while he’s away….

I’ll be glad when the bath pictures get to the point when they can be used for ransom in the years to come. You know, in case you ever show Jaia the purple dress photo. These are pretty much way too cute to be of any real use. |
