She doesn’t walk, she dances and twirls into a room, she sings at a whisper, she tells the most wonderful stories. She laughs all the time and she makes us laugh all the time. She loves putting on make-up, styling her (and everybody else’s) hair and dressing pretty. She is curious and she questions everything. She is a real girly-girl who wants to be a mermaid when she grows up who plays pretend and who lives in a world only limited by her imagination. She is growing too quickly. I’m going to miss my two-year old but am so excited to see what three brings.
Wow. Santa is one generous guy. Jaia made out with a ton of loot. A literal ton. But she’s been having having fun with all of it. At first glance she saw the green hippo she had specifically asked the big guy for. I think she was excited.
It was also the year of dress up, and she insisted that she try on every one she opened. Here she is as Tinkerbell.
A few hours after the gift opening – we all got into our gear and went out for a walk to the park with Jaia’s new bob skates in hand. The weather man promised us a balmy -2 degrees, but the humidity and wind made it feel much colder! Much fun had by all!
