forgetful

We are celebrating a green Christmas this year.  It’s the first I’ve experienced in Ottawa (after living here for 24 or so years), and I have to admit…it blows.  What was supposed to be my second annual snowman hunt turned out to be an afternoon watching Dan play Xbox.  Super lame.  The lack of snowmen to hunt AND the lame Xbox game.  Can’t they come out with more child/wife friendly games to amuse me?  I admit they come close with the one where the squirrel farts and burps, but it’s just not enough.

The funniest Christmas story of the year (so far):  Jenny’s new little pup Benny wasn’t let outside to pee before ‘present opening time’ and since he’s teeny and had to go…he chose to go on the presents.  Puppies rock.  That would have been hilarious to see.

Humph, on the other hand, was given his stocking goodies before we opened any of our presents.  After that he associated gift opening with getting more stuff to chew/eat and he started sticking his nose in any and all gift bags and boxes on the floor, previously opened or not.

And then he passed out.
