We started out the afternoon of the first day of Jaia’s 11th month with a Halloween themed playdate at a friend’s house. She has a photo studio in her basement and so we dressed the kiddies up and ‘tried’ to take a group picture…not very succcessfully. I don’t have a copy of it yet, as I was not taking most of the photos, but I think we may have one or two where most of the kids are looking in almost the same direction and where only one or two are crying or crusty.
The rest of the photos were of one kid at a time. This is our third such ‘photoshoot’, and though the babes were much younger and a little more confused the first time around, they were basically immobile, which made it waaaaaay easier. Now they are crawling and moving everywhere so it’s hard to capture them. I’m excited to see the real photgrapher’s take on the kids, but for now, here are a few I was able to snap during the intermissions, and during a rare moment of calm. For future reference, celery snacks distract.

And though we didn’t actually trick or treat door-to-door this year, we did get dressed up (again) to go to Gramps’ house for a visit. At this age, Halloween is really all for the parents……and we loved every second.

Julius and Roxy - The large ones have been forgetting to feed us more and more often as the small one becomes mobile. We are not being kept in the manner to which we have become accustomed. Perhaps it is time to seek a new living arrangement. We will consider it, and in the meantime continue to sneak into the fridge at night, open all the containers and deposit hairs. That will teach them.
Harley - J & R,
A good place to deposit hairs is on a bar of soap. It’s nearly impossible for the large ones to remove it, once securely fastened.
