Day 202 – Got 'em!

The keys, that is.  To our new place.  Our new old place.  We are elated to finally get in.  We have a lot of work ahead of us to make it ours (and to repaint over the burgundy walls that the owners were obviously VERY partial to), but we can’t wait.  or I can’t wait.  Dan would be happy to wait years before getting back to work to start more renos.  But after enjoying a custom kitchen for almost a year now, going back to a less than perfect one will be hard.  Let’s see how long we last.  😉

I have no pictures of the house to share yet, but I do have a cute one of my boy to tide you over.

Dominik - that picture is ok, too 😉

Last chance!

Although the new house is is pretty much the only thing on our minds today, we can’t forget that it’s the last day of Movember.  If you haven’t already and are able to, please make a donation to your favourite mo – even if it isn’t Dan’s Tom Selleck contender.

No matter thow small, every dollar brings us closer to a cure.  And I, for one, know that I would do anything to help make sure that I don’t lose anyone else that I love to cancer.

Donate today.

Day 199 – Here comes Santa Claus

This year, for the first since jaia was born, we were able to make it to the Santa Claus parade.  It was freezing and so Dan stayed back with Wes.  And thankfully they did, 80+ floats later and this mama was numb from her nose to her toes.  My girl on the other hand, happy as a clam.  Not one complaint until she asked to go pee around float 70.  And even then she was happy to wait it out until the guy in red showed up.

More than 2 hours after we got there he finally made it.  Jaia believed it was his arrival into town and would now take up his post at the mall to wait and hear what all the kids wanted for Christmas – as if Santa had nothing better to do a month before Christmas.  😉  But then he is magic, isn’t he?

Carole - Glad you girls were able to make it! Ethan was freezing because he didn’t move around and ended up in tears. Sydney was a trooper and had a blast. :o)
