Wes has been rolling, but not just to show off. Â This kid is anxious to be on the move. Â His rolling serves a purpose – getting him closer to whatever toy he wants at the time. Â Moments after he did that, he did this: Uh oh. Â We may be in for some trouble…

Those stripey little legs are just about the cutest thing ever. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A few weeks ago Wes started rolling over. Â For a full week he could hardly be contained. Â Diaper changes, naps, playtime, all revolved and were changed by his new skill. And then it stopped. Â No amount of coaxing would convince him to roll onto his tummy from his back. Â He would lay there happily playing with toys and any desire he had to change positions seemed gone. And then yesterday he picked it up again. Â And he’s making up for lost time.

hee hee! he did it within the hour of me getting home tonight. Look out, this boy is mobile! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I’m not gonna lie, I was nervous. Â So nervous about Jaia starting school. Â I had nightmare after nightmare on her behalf that things would not go well. Â I fully expected her to turn around and run toward me wailing as she grabbed my leg and begged me not to leave her there. Â I worried in advance how I would handle it. Â Would I walk away, sneak away before she noticed, give in and take her home where she feels safe and loved? And then none of it happened. Â Day 1 went swimmingly. Â Day 2, which I thought would be worse once she realized what was going on, went…swimmingly. Â Day 3, much of the same. Â And now, after 2 full weeks as a student, she’s a pro. And the best part: friends! Â She instantly connected with a couple of adorable little girls. Â I love to hear them call out to her as we arrive each day. Â She instantly beams and runs off to meet them, leaving Wes and I to fend for ourselves for the next 2 and a half hours. And like any student, she’s been given an assignment to complete. Â Jaia has to do a ‘show and tell’ next week. Â One of her little buddies presented today and it seemed to make her more excited to get up in front of the class and talk about something she loves. Now the big decision about what she wants to show. Â So far everything I’ve suggested has been shot down. Â I’m curious to see what she deems worthy. Â I’ll keep you posted. Until then…Whhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
