This week, with big sister away all day, Wesley and I have been like the two amigos.
So far, it’s been fun. But there’s obviously something missing. Jaia and Wes can spend a good part of their day fighting (some days it’s all day), but they mostly enjoy each other’s company. They play well and they rely on each other for a lot. This week, more than a few times, Wes has looked up at me and asked where Jaia was. I feel it, too, Little Man. Us three, together, just feels right.
September brings with it a new reality. When the glass is half full, I think about this amazing opportunity I have to get to know Wesley, one on one, like I did with his sister before he was born. Up until now, they’ve been a unit. A twosome. And with the new school year, I get two individuals. I look forward to getting to know both of them all over again and anew.
More glass full? Whole days away from each other has to cut down on the fighting, doesn’t it? Sold!
