Wes, like most little people his age, loves Elmo. LOVES. And Elmo is everywhere these days, so hanging out with us ends up being more of a ‘Where’s Elmo?’ game than anything else.
Have I told you this before? I’ve told at least one of you because when I arrived back at the house from walking the big girl to the bus stop, there was a little package sitting on top of the mailbox.
It was addressed to me. There was a US customs slip that read ‘crocheted hat’. The return address read Amy Off the Hook. Cute. A play on words for an obvious crocheter.
Inside was little guy:
Wes’ eyes literally bugged out of his head when he saw Elmo and he preceded to pull the hat on his head. He kept it on for a record amount of time and would probably still have it on were it not for the fact that a wool hat is not the best ever sleep wear.
Now for the weird part. I did not order this hat. And I have no idea who sent it to us. Amy Off the Hook is on etsy.com and lives in Utah. She does not know who I am and she certainly doesn’t know about Wes’ current Elmo obsession. So, it was one of you.
