I have stylish friends. Crazy stylish friends. Me, not so much. I’m almost surprised they don’t mind being seen out with me. Or maybe they do…
Anyway, I don’t know if it’s that I’m not creative enough, but I can’t seem to put a proper outfit together. And forget trends. I don’t seem to get into what’s ‘in’ until it’s on it’s way out or is already long gone. I find something I like and I stick with it for way too long, and I’ll buy it in multiple colours so that I don’t have to hunt around for more later.
See? Kinda pathetic.
My latest dilemma is one I’m positive I’ve talked about before – I’m in search of jeans. Great jeans. Fit like a glove jeans. I have some that fit and feel great – at first. Within 20 minutes (just long enough to have pulled off the tag to make them unreturnable), I crouch to pick up a toy or wipe a wee face and the rear end stretches out. I spend the rest of the day hiking them up each and every time I move in any direction. So, CONSTANT hikage.
Is it just my posterior? Have I lost all of my derriere since having Wes? I just can’t find a pair of pants that actually fit. Am I shopping in the wrong place? Wrong material? Wrong style?

These request is timely. Though I have been struggling with this for awhile and am in need of some new jeans anyway, I have also set up a session with a photographer to take some family portraits for us and now I have to find something great to wear. I am super NERVOUS about it because I’m barely ever in front of the camera, let alone with a real photographer and not just the timer. So I’m already trying to suss out what we are all gonna wear and some new kick ass jeans would get me half way there.

Auntie Jenny - I totally know what you mean about the saggy bum. I think we’ve all had that problem. The best jeans I’ve bought recently are Lucky brand, and they are stretchy, so don’t end up sagging. I think the key is to buy some with a % of spandex (I think). You can usually tell if you try to ‘pull’ the pant leg and there’s a little bit of give. Another great brand is Jessica Simpson (for real) and they are at the Bay. Her’s are stretchy. Kris - I can help! Second Yoga Jeans. They are AH-mazing. Never stretch out of shape, perfect length and ridiculously comfortable. I’m sure they are available somewhere in Ottawa, but I know you can buy online as well. If you’re looking for a CAD store, try Not Just Pretty in Victoria. They ship internationally.
