Jaia: “Mama, you’re going to be the mama. Baby (her doll) will be the baby. I’ll be the big girl.”
Mama: “Who will Panda (her stuffed panda) be?
Jaia: “He’ll be the bear.”

Mama: “Oh, where are you off to?”
Jaia: “I’m going to the store to buy eggs.”

Here is a conversation Gabrielle had with herself out loud at daycare this week. Upon opening the snack cupboard she says
“what does gabby want to eat today? Fishies? (gold fish crackers) hmmmmmm no……bears? ( teddy grahams)ummmmm…nope! Baby cookies?? (arrowroot) ….uhhhh OK!!!”
at which point she grabbed them and closed the cupboard door! Some of her friends can still barely talk so this kind of thing always amazes me….
