First snow

Ottawa woke up to it’s first blanket of snow this morning.  It won’t stay.  The temperature is supposed to rise by the end of the week and the snow will melt.

But this morning, in the fleeting moments between when they woke up and sunrise,  it was magic.

Pure, purple-hued magic.
