I am seriously in love with my new DIY wall art.
I have always loved the goofiness of pictures from a photobooth. So much of my life has been captured in photobooth pictures. Me as a child with my parents, my VERY awkward teenage years and even the months before Dan and I got married (we used a photobooth strip on our wedding invitation and wedding program). We’ve even gone a few times with the kids. Love.
So, with a large empty wall in our living room and feeling tired of the black framed, white matted pictures that adorn almost every other wall in our house, I came up with the idea to incorporate photobooth-like photos into the decor. I took the pictures, Dan came up with the idea to mount them and BAM! Totally original art.
In other news: The kids are having a blast using their new chalkboard. Can’t get enough of it. I can’t promise that it isn’t teaching Wes that it is ok to write on all the walls…but so far we are graffiti free. So far…
