Numb3rs

numbers.jpgThroughtout this pregnancy, numbers have taken on a whole new meaning for me.  Every tiny milestone is marked with a number.  I heard the heatbeat at 8 weeks.  I saw the baby move during an ultrasound at 12 weeks.  At 20 weeks we found out that Peanut/BGF is a girl.  I felt her move for the first time at 22 weeks.  I really started to show at 26 weeks.  Etc., etc….

Numbers become uber significant during a pregnancy, and now that I’m nearing the end of the third trimester, they are becoming more important than ever…Especially with how uncomfortable it is getting to carry this bébé around.  Here are the numbers that I’m focusing on today.

7:  I have 7 work days left until I’m off. 🙂

50: The number of weeks of maternity leave that I have before I return to work.

34:  The number of weeks pregnant I am today.

36:  Delivering at 36 weeks is considered full term.  (Please, please, please!!)

10/40:  You are actually pregnant for 40 weeks (10 months), even though most people consider it to be 9 months.

1:  The number of people I’m allowing in the delivery room besides nurses and doctors.  (Dan).

20:  The number of days left until Christmas (and my second annual snowman photo mission).

16:  Peanut’s due date.

5:  Dan’s work only gives him 5 days off for the birth of his child.  Excellent.

20:  The number of fingers and toes we hope the bébé has.

10:  The average number of diapers we’ll be changing everyday.  Egads.

3:  Our 3 pets will have a fair number of life adjustments ahead of them.  I wonder how well that’ll go over.

7:  The number of hours in a row that my back was cramping yesterday.  Excellent times.

1:  The number of times we’ve watched the show Numb3rs on tv.  It ranks among the worst shows I’ve ever seen.  Seriously, don’t watch it.   Poor Rob Morrow…(and his kid, who he named Two.  I swear.  It’s true.  Check it out for yourself).
