Looking forward to Interpol at the new Capital Music Hall this Sunday. I only caught one show at the old Capital Music Hall (Feist), which is surprising because a ton of good bands came through there.
The new Arcade Fire album has been in heavy rotation these past few weeks. As it grows on me, so does the profound sadness that I won’t be at the May shows in Montreal. Stupid Ticketmaster. Current favourite (with no signs of being dislodged anytime soon): antichrist television blues.
Owen Pallett (aka Final Fantasy) is at the Black Sheep tomorrow night. I’m a big fan of his solo layered style. However, our days of last minute plans to see live shows are behind us 🙂 We had tickets last time he played there, but I forget why we couldn’t use them …
Kel Parsons - Btw, Dan, I don’t know if you know, but one of our staff here at the Federation, Diane Belanger, is the mother of Ben Belanger, who works here sometimes; he’s in As The Poets Affirm, and their drummer is, I believe, brother to Arcade Fire’s drummer.
So, like, you almost know someone who almost knows someone in that band. Cool, eh?
