As I mentioned way back in September, Contributor Mark and Sonja Lasagna, otherwise known as the Woodingtons, are getting hitched. Their date has been set and once they settle into their new house (the above being the first photo of them on record in said house) the nitty gritty wedding preparations will begin to take shape. It’s all very exciting. And I think I’ve been extremely patient thus far…sort of.
To add to my excitement for the upcoming nuptuals…Miss Lasagna asked me to be a bridesmaid! I’m thrilled! It would have been an absolute blast to just be there as a guest, but now I get to take part! Plus, it gives me a phenomenal excuse to drop the baby weight by next summer. Excellent. I needed the motivation. And standing in front of such a big, posh crowd certainly motivates one into action.
And to sweeten the deal that much more, Sonja’s sister, Jessica Lasagna – Maid of Honour Extraordinaire, was just hired on in my office. Not only is that super fun, but it also gives us TONS of face time to scheme on the bride and groom’s behalf. All innocent scheming of course. Nothing embarrassing. Or mean. Not us. Never.
Kris - Awesome! I’m so happy for them. Miss Lasagna is going to be a beautiful bride.
When is the wedding and do they have a venue?
I suppose I could just e-mail her…but blogs are fun and I like commenting.
Jessie - Couldn’t ask for a better bridesmaid/partner in crime for wedding schemeing (sic?). Don’t worry, we’ll try to come up with ideas that don’t involve costumes or weaponry on the wedding day 🙂 Unless the Woodington’s decide to go with a Lord of the Rings/Medieval Theme – which is not something I think I would endorse. No one wants to see groomsmen in tights. Congrats to Soni and Mark on their magnificent new abode. We miss you over on Lewis Street :(, but we’re super happy for you!!
Sonja - Thanks girls – you’re all very sweet! I’m excited about all the planning and hijinks to come. Our wedding will be on June 30th at the NAC’s Roof Top Terrace. While the house has kept me entirely too busy to get started at least those 2 particulars are done. We’re trying to get into this church in New Edinburgh so I know what I’ll be doing for the next 30 Sunday mornings…
