Day 168 – Halloween: Part One

Good guess on the costume, gals!  My girl was indeed the Paper Bag Princess.  And a perfect one at that.  Dan constructed a perfect paper bag dress, one that somehow lasted three days and about 800 on and offs.

I learned a lot this Halloween.  The most important lesson being that if you are going to dress your kid up, make sure they can actually sit in the costume, especially if they are wearing it to school.  Poor little Bean.

Friday morning was spent at the mall with some friends going from store to store, filling up the bag with oodles of treats.  The afternoon took us to Jaia’s school where they were having a party and a parade.  I was thankfully asked to help out and so I got to witness the cuteness overload.  I love spending time in Jaia’s class anyway, but to see all the littles all dressed up was the icing on the cake.

Check out Jaia being choked by the paper bag.  Oops.

One of my favourite moments was when halfway through the parade we made our way through the dance going on for the older kids.  The littles walked through wide-eyed with jaws to the floor.  Once they re-emerged, the whole group, including the teacher and the other parents danced in the foyer to the music blaring out of the gym.  My little loved every second of it.

Alicia - She also looks like she should star in a “Home Alone” sequel.
