A short look back down a long road.

Today marks a fun milestone for the Fullertons.  It’s been exactly 5 years since we first laid eyes on each other.  And though Dan tells me that there are only a certain number of anniversaries that we are allowed to celebrate, I’m vying for this one to stay close to the top of the list.

The weather, not unlike today, was rainy with a slight chill in the air.  I remember exactly what Dan was wearing – not in a crazy, obsessed way, but in a ‘still adore when he wears that sweater’ way.  On the other hand, what I wore that night escapes me completely.  It’s so weird to think that as you are primping to go out on any given evening, carefully choosing your outfit and what you might do with your hair, that it might turn out to be one of the most memorable and important nights of your life.

And that’s what this was for me.  It marked a turning point.  Little did I know that, as we sat at Pancho Villa and sipped on our Dos Equis, I was casually chatting with my future husband.  It was the start of the most important and quite possibly the happiest times of my life.  I don’t ever feel shy about admitting how very lucky I am.
