We are under the 30 day mark. As it sinks in, it’s freaking me out a little, but other than the enormous belly, life is as usual. Mat leave is a few weeks off, and now with the room ‘ready’, we just wait.
When Jaia was on the way, we held a little contest for friends and family. And since we claim that you can’t *really* enjoy something unless you are betting on it, we decided to do it again. Only this time we are less organized, and we require less information. Asking you to guess the date would be unfair considering we likely already know the date. But the baby’s weight? Completely up in the air – though one look at me might convince you to go with my guess of 14lbs and change.
After a few guesses come in, we’ll begin to chart it out – or Dan will, since that’s his thing. But until then, feel free to leave a comment with what you think Frank the Baby will weigh upon his arrival. If you are too shy to comment – and some of you are – just drop me an email with the magic number. The winner gets an actual prize this time.

Oh, and in case this helps, Jaia weighed in at 7 lbs 7 ozs. And she was three weeks early. I think it’s clear that we make big babies.
