Bakerella

No, not Jaia or I.  The website.  I came upon it the other day and have been salivating ever since.

It was also the source of the recipe that Jaia and I attempted on Friday (mentioned in Friday Goodness).  They are called cake pops and they were delish!  Sweet to the point of ‘eat only one or you’ll regret it’, but delish if you have self-control.  My sister, her husband and I apparently do not have self-control and regretted it for a few hours afterwards, but it didn’t stop me from having another the following day.  And maybe even the day after that.

They were fairly easy to make and would be a hit at any party that you are asked to bring dessert to.  And they are (or can be) to-die-for cute:

I am confident enough in myself to admit that mine turned out nothing like these.  They were plain pink (Jaia’s choice – obviously) with purple cake inside (Jaia’s choice – obviously).  But as plain as they were, they were still pretty cute.

I want to and will make them again, I just need a reason and someplace to take them.  One cake mix makes about 40-50 of these little gems and I refuse to have that many at my disposal ever again.  Dangerous.
