Right in the middle of the family photoshoot, my camera’s counter rolled over. In just over 3 years of owning my trusty Nikon D50, I can finally say that I’ve taken over 10,000 photos. And that’s not even the real number. The counter was reset each time I dumped the card for the first 1 to 1.5 years. But because it would be impossible for me to know exactly how many photos I’ve taken since December 2005, I’m happy to settle on the 10,000…and counting.
I recently read somewhere that to become a real photographer, you need to take 100,000 photos. I’d say I’ve got some work ahead of me.
