Call it our guest book. A few months ago Dan and I decided to use the doorway into our dining room as a growth chart for Jaia. She stood up against the wall and we marked her height for that month. Our plan is to take the measurements every 6 months or so.
But then, being the goofs that we are, we measured ourselves against the wall. I had no idea Dan was that much taller than me. For kicks, we measured Auntie Lizzie and Uncle Mark on their next visit. No surprise, both also towered over me.
And then, to continue our new tradition, we measured Auntie Jenny and Uncle Steve and Uncle Sean and Auntie Vinnie when they were all over for dinner on Saturday night. Thanfully, other than Jaia, I am no longer the shortest of the group. That prize goes to shrimpy Auntie Vinnie. And the proof is written on the wall.
