{"id":7668,"date":"2013-10-31T05:16:47","date_gmt":"2013-10-31T09:16:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/?p=7668"},"modified":"2013-10-30T22:54:11","modified_gmt":"2013-10-31T02:54:11","slug":"halloweeeeeeeeen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/?p=7668","title":{"rendered":"Halloweeeeeeeeen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since Wes could talk he has loved Halloween. \u00a0Monsters, zombies, vampires, all of it. \u00a0And I&#8217;m happy to oblige. \u00a0I&#8217;ve taken to decorating weeks earlier than I really should and all to see his reaction when we pull up the driveway and see the boo Ghost in the flower bed or Steve the skeleton hanging on the door. \u00a0He adores it and I adore him.<\/p>\n<p>We were out a couple of months ago, just as the costumes were brought out and, unfortunately, Wes spotted them and had to try them on. \u00a0I stopped him after the fourth ( a Nascar driver). \u00a0But of all the costumes he tried on, he loved the dragon most. \u00a0And then the begging started. \u00a0He wanted to be a dragon for a Halloween&#8230;which was still a couple of months away.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7675\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/DSC_6580sm.jpg\" width=\"750\" height=\"498\" srcset=\"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/DSC_6580sm.jpg 750w, http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/DSC_6580sm-300x199.jpg 300w, http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/DSC_6580sm-200x133.jpg 200w, http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/DSC_6580sm-290x193.jpg 290w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But let&#8217;s face it, if I didn&#8217;t buy it then, I would have put it off and then I might have to to try and make a costume myself which has not proven to be the best idea in the past (I once dressed up as a &#8216;got milk&#8217; ad and work a black shirt and a milk must ache. \u00a0That&#8217;s about the extent of my skill). \u00a0So I obliged. \u00a0We bought the dragon suit.<\/p>\n<p>And then, his sister played along and wanted to be a &#8216;Frost Queen&#8217;
