<\/p>\nA few months back, my boss asked me if I would like to act for him while he was away.\u00a0 I jumped at the chance.\u00a0 3 beautiful months of change\u00a0 and excitement and pretty clothes and high heels everyday seemed like a bit of a dream come true.\u00a0 Especially because it was fairly temporary.\u00a0 I would work full-time for 12 weeks and act for the last half of that.<\/p>\n
The neat thing was that I was expecting this to be more of an experiment.\u00a0 Sort of like when you see those undercover special reports on tv or in magazines.<\/p>\n
Here I was, a long term, part-time employee since my babes were wee, lacing up for the big leagues.\u00a0 Full-time hours.<\/p>\n
Friends and I had have had the discussion multiple times over the years about the benefits of staying home vs. working full-time.\u00a0 I never had a strong opinion either way because, let’s face it, I had the best of both worlds.\u00a0 I get to stay home for the majority of the week but I also get to go into an office and play ‘grown up’.<\/p>\n
Friends who stay home have amazing arguments for why they made that choice.\u00a0 Friends who work have amazing arguments for why they made that choice.<\/p>\n
They are both right.<\/p>\n
Both are hard and demanding and whether you spend your days with your children feeling challenged or away from your children feeling challenged, most of us are doing our absolute best and what is right for our families at that very moment.<\/p>\n
I’m not going to lie though. \u00a0With just one more week to go with the alarm going off at 5 am, I’m looking forward to getting back to my old routine. \u00a0The best of both worlds. \u00a0My happy place.<\/p>\n
I’ve really missed kissing these three cuties each morning before they start their day.<\/p>\n

But for now, there’s the weekend. \u00a0A chilly but sunny one is on the way, and if there is one thing working full-time has shown me over the last few months, it’s how to enjoy the weekend. \u00a0I hope you find the sunshine.<\/p>\n
