{"id":6272,"date":"2012-11-06T23:05:11","date_gmt":"2012-11-07T04:05:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/?p=6272"},"modified":"2012-11-06T23:05:11","modified_gmt":"2012-11-07T04:05:11","slug":"6272","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/?p=6272","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p>She was born on the very last day of the year, which makes her the youngest in her class, of \u00a0all her friends, and according to her, younger than EVERYONE! \u00a0(She may be prone to hyperbole, just like her mama).<\/p>\n<p>Either way, coming from the one who was born close to the first day of the year, being the youngest can&#8217;t be all bad. \u00a0But seeing as she is \u00a0STILL 5 and all of her friends are already 6, this weighs on her.<\/p>\n<p>So when her tooth started to wiggle a while back, she felt like she&#8217;d gained some ground. \u00a0And then months went by and the wiggle barely changed. \u00a0::crickets chirping::<\/p>\n<p>Until \u00a0last week when we were en route to Virginia. \u00a0We&#8217;d just had a snack and I turned around and noticed that there was a space that wasn&#8217;t there a few minutes earlier. \u00a0The tooth? \u00a0Gone. \u00a0I mean really gone.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/photo-1sm.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6273\" title=\"photo-1sm\" src=\"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/photo-1sm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"560\" srcset=\"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/photo-1sm.jpg 750w, http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/photo-1sm-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So, there you have it. \u00a0One of the big milestones and we have no memento to take with us. \u00a0Our best theory is that it was swallowed along with a bite of a ham sammy.<\/p>\n<p>No matter. \u00a0The kid is proud. \u00a0She hasn&#8217;t smiled this big or this hard for a long time. \u00a0And a crisp 5 dollar bill under her pillow didn&#8217;t hurt either.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>She was born on the very last day of the year, which makes her the youngest in her class, of \u00a0all her friends, and according to her, younger than EVERYONE! \u00a0(She may be prone to hyperbole, just like her mama).
