There are not many things I’ve done in my life consistently for 10 years. \u00a0I’ve certainly not lived in the same house for ten years. \u00a0Or had the same job, or driven the same car. \u00a0I’ve not lived in many cities straight for 10 years or even attended the same school.<\/p>\n

But 10 years ago today, I met Dan and we’ve been together ever since. \u00a0I’ve posted about it here<\/a>, here<\/a>, and here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Double digits, though. \u00a0Seems impossible that it’s already been 10 years. \u00a0TEN. \u00a0Holy crap. \u00a0That just seems like a long time. \u00a0A huge milestone. \u00a0Deserving of jewelry maybe? \u00a0\ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

I find that I am a little more sentimental about the date we met than the day we got married. \u00a0You see, a marriage is planned. \u00a0The day is chosen. \u00a0Details are decided upon.<\/p>\n

A first date though – that is more by chance. \u00a0You have no idea how it’s going to go. \u00a0You are hopeful, but not sure.<\/p>\n

The day I met Dan changed my life forever. \u00a0The day I married him, it just got better. \u00a0 Both are significant, and though most people I know don’t celebrate a dating anniversary, especially after 10 years, it still and and will likely always be one of my favourite days of the year.<\/p>\n

Sadly though, what I’m lacking to add to this post are current pictures of Dan and I. \u00a0Even a shameless selfie. \u00a0Renos (Dan), photoshoots (Me), birthday parties (Jaia), etc. have kept us from really enjoying some time all together as a family lately. \u00a0With no plans for life to settle down in the coming months (visuelle photography has more shoots booked this fall than ever before), we just have to start making Fullerton time a priority. \u00a0Maybe even this weekend\u2026?<\/p>\n

Happy first date day, Dan. \u00a0On to decade number 2. \u00a0I can’t wait to see the fun it will bring…<\/p>\n
