{"id":6002,"date":"2012-08-10T11:38:13","date_gmt":"2012-08-10T15:38:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/?p=6002"},"modified":"2012-08-10T11:38:13","modified_gmt":"2012-08-10T15:38:13","slug":"things-on-a-chilly-august-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/?p=6002","title":{"rendered":"Things, on a chilly August day."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>That&#8217;s right, I said chilly. \u00a0Here we are after the hottest and driest summer on record &#8211; or that I remember, anyway. \u00a0Last night at Jaia&#8217;s soccer game I had to pull out the fleece to keep the goosebumps in check. \u00a0NOt the most odd thing to ever happen, but SO out of the blue. \u00a0I&#8217;m not complaining though. \u00a0Fall is coming. \u00a0\ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Here are some things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Some hooligans broke into our cars last night. \u00a0Thankfully (for us) we store mountains of crap in our glove boxes with nothing of value. \u00a0I wish I could have seen their faces when they realized that they had not, in fact, hit the jackpot. \u00a0Jerks. \u00a0I wish they&#8217;d at least clean up their mess.<\/li>\n<li>Yes, both our cars were unlocked. \u00a0My dad will be shaking his head at me when he finds out.<\/li>\n<li>The shizz went down at Jaia&#8217;s soccer game last night. \u00a0Two parents (one of the biggest kid, one of the smallest) had a shouting match when big kid trampled small kid. \u00a0I had the fortunate opportunity to be sitting in between the two and have possibly never been more uncomfortable in my life.<\/li>\n<li>Dan would be miffed at me for doing this so publicly, so I thought I would try to slip it in here and make it less conspicuous, but I wanted to congratulate my husband on his most awesome promotion. \u00a0So well deserved and so much to be proud of. \u00a0We certainly are! \u00a0Way to go, Mr. Fullerton!<\/li>\n<li>The Olympics are soon over. \u00a0What will I do with my time?<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0This week Jaia has been at an all day camp. \u00a0On the first day, after I dropped her off, I cried. \u00a0Not weepy or uncontrollable. \u00a0But there were tears. \u00a0It was my first mini of what we will experience in the fall when we drop her off at school for her first day of grade 1. \u00a0**gulp**<\/li>\n<li>Our cherry tomatoes are ready. \u00a0This is awesome.<\/li>\n<li>The library is an awesome way to spend part of your day. \u00a0Take your kids there. \u00a0Borrow books. \u00a0Read them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And that is all. \u00a0Have any things you want to share today?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>That&#8217;s right, I said chilly. \u00a0Here we are after the hottest and driest summer on record &#8211; or that I remember, anyway. \u00a0Last night at Jaia&#8217;s soccer game I had to pull out the fleece to keep the goosebumps in check. \u00a0NOt the most odd thing to ever happen, but SO out of the blue.
