Early in June we got some awesome news. \u00a0Cousin Meahgan was moving to town for a summer job with the federal government. With none of Dan’s family in town, we were pumped that we were going to see Cousin Maggun (Wes’ pronunciation, not mine) more often. \u00a0And we’ve been spoiled ever since. \u00a0At least weekly visits and sometimes more. \u00a0We heart her.<\/p>\n

A few weeks ago, Aunt Michelle, Meahgan’s mama, flew in for a visit. \u00a0It was a quick trip, but a busy one. \u00a0There were many plans (Meahgan is an expert planner) but we fit in what we could. \u00a0And we had a blast doing it.<\/p>\n

See?<\/p>\n

When you live in a city for a long time, you don’t really take advantage of all that it has to offer, until a guest comes to town. \u00a0I’m so thankful to Cousin Meahgan and Aunt Michelle for reminding us how awesome our city (and the surrounding area) is.<\/p>\n

A crazy hot day and lots of touring made the impromptu stop at Meech Lake for a swim totally worth it. \u00a0Even without suits!<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

My ‘shy’ girl saw these ladies dancing with hula hoops while at Bluesfest and had the gumption to go ask if she could use their spare. \u00a0She then did her own interpretive dance right with them for the next 30 minutes. \u00a0Not as shy as I thought.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

And then it was off to Kingston for a tour of my Alma Mater and a leisurely boat ride down through the 1000 Islands.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u00a0That is a stick covered in nasty spiderwebs that she collected from between the rocks on the shore. \u00a0Gag.<\/em><\/p>\n
