We got a note a few weeks ago asking parents NOT to send any kid of treats for Valentine’s Day. \u00a0I understand, but was bummed. \u00a0I’m a cookie\/cupcake bringing mama and I was looking forward to doing something special for Valentine’s Day. \u00a0I even had a few recipes I was looking forward to trying.<\/p>\n

This little pink note took the wind out of my sails.<\/p>\n

So I was back to square one. \u00a0What to send in the place of sweets for my little sweet and her little buddies? \u00a0I went straight to Pinterest. \u00a0I found some pretty adorable ideas like this one<\/a>, this one<\/a> and this one<\/a>. \u00a0(Ok, the last one involves a treat, but it was so darn cute…)<\/p>\n

But in the end, none were really what I wanted. \u00a0Enter the love bug. \u00a0Jaia and I came up with the idea to fashion some love bugs out of pipe cleaners for all her friends. \u00a0Personalized. \u00a0Homemade. \u00a0Sweet.<\/p>\n
