I realize that I post something new everyday (or nearly everyday), but I rarely find enough free minutes in a row to actually write something and post it.\u00a0 I miss it.\u00a0 A lot.\u00a0 More than I thought I would.\u00a0 I need to make more of an effort.\u00a0 And I will.\u00a0 Maybe.<\/p>\n

At my 6-week post delivery check up, the\u00a0doctor finally gave me the ok to get back to the gym.\u00a0 I couldn’t be happier.\u00a0 I also can’t lie, I’ve been sneaking in work-outs on our elliptical for awhile now.\u00a0 I couldn’t resist.\u00a0 Drs. Troy and MacNamara have been calling.\u00a0 I made a deal with myself that I wouldn’t take the Season 3\u00a0of Nip\/Tuck\u00a0out of the DVD player in the basement until it was finished (meaning I couldn’t bring them upstairs and watch them from the comfort of my cozy couch).\u00a0 So\u00a0it\u00a0gave me\u00a0real incentive to get moving.<\/p>\n

\"uploads_images_photos_images_fullsize_gym.jpg\"<\/a>But the exciting news is that I hit the gym on Thursday.\u00a0 The real gym.\u00a0 I hadn’t been since before Christmas and I missed it.\u00a0 And even more exciting than that is that I ran!\u00a0 On the treadmill!\u00a0 It’s been ages since I was able to without feeling as though a hippopotamus was angrily stomping on my insides, but Thursday I ran an impressive 1.5 miles.\u00a0 Not bad for a first time back at it, eh?\u00a0<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, afterwards I felt as though the hippopotamus had returned and taken revenge out by stomping on the rest of my body.\u00a0 But thankfully, it only makes me want more.\u00a0 Oh, and it helps that I am going with Sonja Lasagna and the other bridesmaids to get measured for our dresses (for the Woodingtons’ wedding) today.\u00a0 Yes, measured.\u00a0 Just 8 weeks after giving birth and someone is going to tell me exactly what size I am now.\u00a0 Barf.\u00a0<\/p>\n

I wonder if they serve\u00a0alcohol there?\u00a0 That would lessen the blow.\u00a0 And the appointment is after noon, so it’s perfectly acceptable, isn’t it?<\/p>\n
