Race day is tomorrow. \u00a0It feels like I’ve been waiting 100 years to tie up our laces and go, but in reality, it’s only been a few months. \u00a0I’m not going to lie. \u00a0I’m terrified.<\/p>\n

It’s been a very, very long time since I’ve ran 10K. \u00a06 years and two babies ago? \u00a0And even then I struggled a bit. \u00a0The pain in my knee has been a constant reminder that I shouldn’t try to run, and yet I choose to ignore its awful screams for me to stop, Stop, STOP!<\/p>\n

No matter. \u00a0Tomorrow I will run. \u00a0I will run as long as I can. \u00a0Chances are I will make it through the finish line, but maybe I won’t. \u00a0EIther way, I’ll have tried. \u00a0And \u00a0I’ll have given it my best effort. \u00a0I’m a big believer in doing something that scares you as often as you can because doing so reminds you of all the A. Ma. Zing that you can accomplish. \u00a0I can do this.<\/p>\n

That being said, I’m looking for advice. \u00a0Any runners out there? \u00a0What do I eat on race day? \u00a0Or better yet, what don’t I eat? \u00a0How much rest before hand? \u00a0Any tips for staying the course during the race? \u00a0Ice the knee before or after?<\/p>\n

Seriously, People, I need your help.<\/p>\n

Oh, and just for kicks, my time last time I ran was close to an hour. \u00a0Like 57 minutes or so. \u00a0I can’t wait to see what it is this time. \u00a0Anyone want to throw a guess out there??<\/p>\n
