{"id":4604,"date":"2011-05-10T08:16:20","date_gmt":"2011-05-10T08:16:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/?p=4604"},"modified":"2011-05-10T13:26:33","modified_gmt":"2011-05-10T13:26:33","slug":"things-i-am-loving-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/?p=4604","title":{"rendered":"Things I am loving today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1. \u00a0<strong>Google Reader<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Have you? \u00a0Do you? \u00a0I do now.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m a blog reader. \u00a0I read so many that it was taking up loads of my time, time I don&#8217;t have. \u00a0But I love it. \u00a0Keeping tabs on mostly complete strangers (imagine if more of my friends had blogs?) lets me feel as though I have a little bit of a social life.<\/p>\n<p>I had heard about <a href=\"www.google.com\/reader\">Google Reader<\/a>, but never bothered to play around with it. \u00a0But it is seriously genius. \u00a0It keeps tabs on the blogs\/webpages you subscribe to and gathers all those with a new post together so that you can go to one place and catch up without having to go to each page individually.<\/p>\n<p>And just to sweeten the deal a little further, you can install a &#8216;Next&#8217; button so that at the click of the mouse, you are taken\u00a0directly to the next chronological blog post in your reader queue.<\/p>\n<p>See, genius. \u00a0Now go get your internet read on.<\/p>\n<p>2. \u00a0<strong>eeBoo Fairytale Mix Ups<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\ufeff<a href=\"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/story.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4605\" title=\"story\" src=\"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/story.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"613\" srcset=\"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/story.jpg 450w, http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/story-220x300.jpg 220w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/a>My girl LOVES stories. \u00a0But more than just stories, she loves made up stories,and the best ones have her as the star. \u00a0Ever since she was wee, we&#8217;ve been telling her &#8216;Princess Jaia&#8217; stories before bed. \u00a0Every. Single. Night. \u00a0And let me tell you, some nights I&#8217;m just not feeling creative enough to make up a story, but she persists and I give in. \u00a0Sometimes my stories are awesome. \u00a0Sometimes lame. \u00a0Depends on the day.<\/p>\n<p>So when I found this card game, I knew she&#8217;d love it. \u00a0And she does. \u00a0You can either use the cards to steer your story, or play it as a game with 2 or more players and have everybody take part in the storytelling.<\/p>\n<p>We played with my parents and we were literally in stitches.<\/p>\n<p>The game forces you to be creative, and it lets your little one use their imagination over and over again. \u00a0With a quick shuffle, you have a brand new game. \u00a0Ta da!!<\/p>\n<p>LOVE.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. \u00a0President&#8217;s Choice Organics Clementines<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yum. \u00a0Every single shopping trip over the past couple of months has me coming home with a bag of these juicy little lovelies. \u00a0There are just the right amount of sweet and I have yet to get a dud. \u00a0I&#8217;m hooked. \u00a0And so is my little chowhound who will literally stops what he&#8217;s doing and will come tearing in my direction if he sees me with one. \u00a0Delish.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. \u00a0The Voice<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/the-voice.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4608\" title=\"the-voice\" src=\"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/the-voice.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"636\" height=\"477\" srcset=\"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/the-voice.jpg 636w, http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/the-voice-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 636px) 100vw, 636px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There was so much hype for this show in the weeks before it&#8217;s premiere. \u00a0It was almost nauseating. \u00a0And I was not interested in watching another show. \u00a0Nor was I interested in a reality show, especially a singing competition. \u00a0But their advertising worked. \u00a0I just had to see what it was all about and I really liked it. \u00a0And maybe I don&#8217;t want to admit this publicly, but I have a mini-crush on Cee Lo Green, so that may be part of the attraction. \u00a0But I&#8217;m not gonna lie, I&#8217;m pretty excited to see how it plays out.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. \u00a0Watching my boy walk<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/DSC_7712sm.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4611\" title=\"DSC_7712sm\" src=\"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/DSC_7712sm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"465\" srcset=\"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/DSC_7712sm.jpg 700w, http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/DSC_7712sm-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I seriously find my breath being taken away as I watch my littlest up on his two feet motoring around. \u00a0We wait with bated breathe for these milestones to be met, but when they do, we&#8217;re quickly reminded of how fast time flies. \u00a0My boy is on a steady course from baby to toddler and it breaks my heart a little. \u00a0But it also gives me an excuse to do air fist pumps. \u00a0I&#8217;m so proud of the little dude.<\/p>\n<p>And seriously, have you ever seen anything cuter?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>What are you loving today?<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1. \u00a0Google Reader Have you? \u00a0Do you? \u00a0I do now.
