Wesley,<\/p>\n

You are a little stinker.\u00a0 For the last 10 months you made sure that we couldn’t concentrate on almost anything but our lack of sleep.\u00a0 I read book after book, scoured the internet for solutions, cried, prayed and wished that we would all start sleeping through the night and then, without any pomp or ceremony, you did just that.\u00a0 You wanted it to be on your own schedule, when you were ready and when we finally just chilled and accepted our fate, you decided it was time.\u00a0 And it’s been wonderful.\u00a0 It’s not perfect yet, but it’s close.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We are currently in the throes of teething.\u00a0 Those top two pearly whites are taking their sweet time breaking through, but every one of your many smiles, every laugh, every time you babble what I pretend to be mama<\/em>, though it sounds much more like daddadada – <\/em>or CAT<\/em>, make it all so immensely worth it.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

You keep me on my toes.\u00a0 At any given moment, you will look at me with that spark in your eye and take off toward something you know you are not supposed to get into, in the hopes that I chase.\u00a0 And I do, over and over and over.\u00a0 By the end of the day I am tired from all the chasing but the truth is that I secretly love it.\u00a0 I love watching you explore, your eyes wide as you see or experience something new.\u00a0 You are brave and you are fearless. \u00a0I love that about you.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And here I sit, on the first day of your 11th month, I think back to the thrill of imagining you before I had the privilege of laying my eyes on you, and I cherish how you’ve surpassed every single expectation I had.<\/p>\n

Happy 10 months, LIttle Dude.<\/p>\n
