\"oscar.jpg\"<\/a>I love watching the Oscars.\u00a0 Like so many others, as soon as the red carpet show begins, I am glued to the television to pass judgement on what frocks the stars show up wearing (FYI – Jennifer Lopez’s dress is u.g.l.y. and the Japanese girl from Babel looks amazing) in anticipation of the ceremony.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Every year, for the past 13 or so, I have gotten together with friends to watch the show\u00a0and to place bets on who the big winners will be.\u00a0 This year though, the circumstances are a little different.\u00a0 Rather than hosting or attending an Oscar shindig, Dan, Jaia\u00a0and I will be watching at home\u00a0together with our jammies on.\u00a0 I can’t say I’m that disappointed though.\u00a0 The first few hours of the show\u00a0normally keeps us all\u00a0enthralled, but by the end everyone is watching the clock and trying to hold back the yawns\u00a0wishing it would just end already.<\/p>\n

(Update: Rachel Weiss=gorgeous, Cameron Diaz=sailor).\u00a0<\/p>\n

On the other hand, I will miss the colour commentary\u00a0with the girls, the amazing food, the yummy drinks and especially the Oscar pool.\u00a0\u00a0Michelle Nichols walked away the winner for the past two years in row but\u00a0I think 2007 would have been my year.\u00a0 Lucky for her the Fullertons are MIA, that way she\u00a0may get to keep her title for a little while longer.\u00a0\ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

(Update: Jennifer Hudson=bad bolero, Kelly Preston=leopard print?)<\/p>\n

The best part so far?\u00a0 Joan rivers no longer hosts the pre-Oscar red carpet show.\u00a0 Phewf.\u00a0 What a relief.<\/p>\n

(Update: Anne Hathaway and Kirsten Dunst=ew).<\/p>\n

(Queen Latifah=hubba hubba, Portia De Rossi=hot)<\/p>\n

(Kate Winslett=WOW, Cate Blanchett=elegant)<\/p>\n

(Reese Witherspoon=better without Ryan, Nicole Kidman=ummm…Big. Red. Bow.)<\/p>\n

(Elizabeth Shue=are you heading straight to the office after the show?)<\/p>\n
