{"id":4318,"date":"2011-02-25T00:48:19","date_gmt":"2011-02-25T04:48:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/?p=4318"},"modified":"2011-02-25T00:48:19","modified_gmt":"2011-02-25T04:48:19","slug":"day-288-tiny-dancer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/?p=4318","title":{"rendered":"Day 288 &#8211; Tiny Dancer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/DSC_1517sm.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4323\" title=\"DSC_1517sm\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/DSC_1517sm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"531\" height=\"800\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Today Jaia took part in her school&#8217;s Dance-a-thon. \u00a0There was a 15 minute time slot where the JK kids were brought into the gym and let loose to shake their groove thangs. \u00a0They ran, they danced, they jumped, they did the locomotion (with Jaia in the lead which had her grinning from ear to ear).<\/p>\n<p>And I got to see it. \u00a0Every glorious minute of it. \u00a0Wes and I joined the class and when I walked into that gym and saw my girl twirling and twisting and laughing with her friends, my heart grew two sizes. \u00a0Or maybe three.<\/p>\n<p>I am lucky. \u00a0I don&#8217;t talk about it much, but it is something I think about every day. \u00a0I have the great privilege of staying home with my littles. \u00a0And one of the perks of staying home means going to Jaia&#8217;s school almost once a week and taking part in activities that I wouldn&#8217;t normally see or hear about. \u00a0I put names to faces,\u00a0I meet other parents, I see her in action. \u00a0I&#8217;ve been there for French lessons, sing alongs, field trips, computer lab time and class parties. \u00a0But the best part is seeing her so happy in her own environment. \u00a0From a front row seat.<\/p>\n<p>My days may be busy and long and NOT quiet or restful, but I wouldn&#8217;t trade any of them for anything. \u00a0See what I mean?
