{"id":4154,"date":"2011-01-26T23:53:27","date_gmt":"2011-01-27T03:53:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/?p=4154"},"modified":"2011-01-26T23:53:27","modified_gmt":"2011-01-27T03:53:27","slug":"day-259-end-of-my-rope","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/?p=4154","title":{"rendered":"Day 259 &#8211; End of my rope"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I know I sound like a broken record, but quite frankly, I&#8217;m too tired to care. \u00a0We are not sleeping. \u00a0Or should I say Wes isn&#8217;t sleeping which means we aren&#8217;t sleeping. \u00a0Some nights he&#8217;s up once or twice, but some nights, like last night, we are up closer to 12-15 times.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s taking a toll. \u00a0And quite frankly, at this point, I&#8217;m willing to try anything. \u00a0I&#8217;ve done some reading this week and it seems I have a couple of choices: cry it out or not. \u00a0A few friends have suggested that we try to cry it out, that it worked for them, and within a couple of days, a full night&#8217;s sleep. \u00a0Some others don&#8217;t believe in that method or couldn&#8217;t stand the idea of listening to their babies cry and doing nothing about it.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m on the fence. \u00a0I&#8217;d rather not listen to Wes cry and do nothing about it, but I also really, really, really, REALLY need to sleep. \u00a0And I mean REALLY need to sleep.<\/p>\n<p>The first step is to wait for Wes&#8217; ear infection to say sayonara. \u00a0We can&#8217;t do any sort sleep training while he&#8217;s not 100%. \u00a0So that gives me a few more days to decide on a course of action.<\/p>\n<p>Until then, I can be thankful that although he is getting very little sleep, he remains one happy little dude. \u00a0Days with him are pleasant and joyful and they almost make the long nights seem worth it. \u00a0Almost.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/DSC_3556sm.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4157\" title=\"DSC_3556sm\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/DSC_3556sm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"498\" height=\"750\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I know I sound like a broken record, but quite frankly, I&#8217;m too tired to care. \u00a0We are not sleeping. \u00a0Or should I say Wes isn&#8217;t sleeping which means we aren&#8217;t sleeping. \u00a0Some nights he&#8217;s up once or twice, but some nights, like last night, we are up closer to 12-15 times.
