Finally. \u00a0I needed today. \u00a0After months of sleepless nights and very, very, very looooong days that followed, today was good. \u00a0So good. \u00a0It almost felt as though the three of us finally found our rhythm.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Let me backtrack a little. \u00a0The second question I get asked when people meet Wes after what his name is, is if he is sleeping through the night. \u00a0I’ve never answered yes. \u00a0My boy is not into that. \u00a0Actually, he’s not much into sleeping at all. \u00a0That’s not how he rolls. \u00a0He never naps for more than 20 minutes and only a few times a day. \u00a0And if you haven’t spent any time with a baby who doesn’t sleep very much, let me enlighten you – very little sleep makes for a unhappy baby. \u00a0And it can make for some long, difficult days and even longer nights – for all of us.<\/p>\n

But about 6 days ago, things started to change. \u00a0Naps remained short, but the 3+ wakes in the night magically turned into 2. \u00a0And then last night, 1. \u00a0A single night feed for the first time since May. \u00a0I felt so well rested this morning. \u00a0And it only got better from there. \u00a0The boy napped 3 times today, all for over 45 minutes and once for 1.5 hours! \u00a0And all this sleep did wonders. \u00a0Wes was happy and smiling and cooing ALL DAY LONG. \u00a0And a happy Wes makes for a very, very, very happy mama.<\/p>\n

Today was magic. \u00a0Today was perfect. \u00a0Today gave me hope that tomorrow will be just as good.<\/p>\n
