What a week.\u00a0 It already feels too long and has been snagged with excessive heat, exploding computer programs, expanding waistlines\u00a0and a leashless dog with an undeniably keen sniffer…and it’s only Wednesday.<\/p>\n
But, of course, in my mind it was already Thursday.\u00a0 So, this morning, when I was reminded that it was really only Wednesday, I felt like I lost my lead\u00a0in the race or that my delicious Berry Berry Strawberry ice cream fell off my cone and hit the floor before I was able to even taste it.\u00a0 “You mean I have to do Wednesday all over again??”\u00a0 This bites.<\/p>\n
Hump day is usually a happy one for me.\u00a0 Half the work week is down, and you have nothing but weekend goodness to look forward to.\u00a0 And there’s lots of goodness to look forward to this weekend.\u00a0\u00a0Besides the two whole days off work,\u00a0an impromtu BBQ at Alicia’s (maybe), and our early Saturday morning hike with Humphrey, my Mom and Dave are coming to town to see our new house.\u00a0\u00a0In preparation, we’ll be\u00a0forced into high speed unpacking action and out of our (two) week long heat-induced coma.\u00a0\u00a0This visit will guarantee that we can finally say we’re settled in<\/em>, where as we’ve mostly just been moved in<\/em> since the end of June.\u00a0 I can’t wait.<\/p>\n I guess the bright side of it only being Wednesday is that it is no longer Monday.\u00a0 That makes the rest of the week somewhat bearable.\u00a0\u00a0Sort of.\u00a0 If there was some magical way to shorten the remaining days in half\u00a0or double their length and turn them into\u00a0holidays, that would\u00a0make it\u00a0more bearable.\u00a0 Anyone have any magic skills??\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" What a week.\u00a0 It already feels too long and has been snagged with excessive heat, exploding computer programs, expanding waistlines\u00a0and a leashless dog with an undeniably keen sniffer…and it’s only Wednesday.
