Last night we had to say goodbye to an old friend.\u00a0 I have to admit, it wasn’t easy.\u00a0 Dan came upstairs and handed me a yogurt container filled with…….Ned.\u00a0 I thought I would have had time to mentally prepare, but no, Ned had already been captured and was facing immediate relocation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"By<\/a>I carefully took my old friend outside and placed the container on the ground.\u00a0 Now don’t forget, I was feeling\u00a0sad and emotional because\u00a0I knew that\u00a0a long and tumultuous relationship was coming to a forced\u00a0end – but I’m still fricking terrified of spiders! This whole episode has not been easy for me.\u00a0\u00a0So, even as I was preparing to say goodbye forever, I was petrified.\u00a0 There I was lying on the ground trying to capture the event,\u00a0and I couldn’t shake the feeling that Ned had already escaped from his plastic prison and had found his way down the back of my shirt (I still get the heebie jeebies just thinking about it).\u00a0 There was nothing left to do, but speed up the release so I avoid the risk of a face to face encounter, or worse yet, a sneak attack.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"Look<\/a><\/p>\n

I wonder if\u00a0Ned is\u00a0as scared for himself as I am for him.\u00a0 Out there it’s\u00a0eat or be eaten.\u00a0 For his sake, I hope he’s the eater.<\/p>\n

If you happen to run into\u00a0Ned someday…tell him I say hi…and don’t squish him.<\/p>\n
