Every other year, in the days approaching my birthday, there would be a glimmer of excitement about the unknown of the day.  Would there be a surprise?  Would so-and-so remember?  Would there be cake?  Presents?<\/p>\n<p>This year is different.  Others have to keep reminding me that it&#8217;s coming up be cause it keeps slipping my mind.  Seriously.  It just seems so insignificant this year.
