{"id":2863,"date":"2010-06-09T21:37:02","date_gmt":"2010-06-10T01:37:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/?p=2863"},"modified":"2010-06-09T21:37:02","modified_gmt":"2010-06-10T01:37:02","slug":"one-month-old","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/?p=2863","title":{"rendered":"One month old"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/DSC_7092sm.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2865\" title=\"DSC_7092sm\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/DSC_7092sm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"465\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Yes, I&#8217;m serious. \u00a0Our Sweet Wes is already a month old. \u00a0It feels like it passed so fast, but it might be the sleepless haze I&#8217;m living in that \u00a0has erased so much of the last 4 weeks for me.<\/p>\n<p>The funny thing is that as I&#8217;m wishing Wes would just sleep through the night, I&#8217;m also desperately trying to breathe in every single moment with him, remembering that when Jaia was this little\/young, the moments were gone before I had a chance to really enjoy them. \u00a0And as much as I could do without the frequent feedings, bum changes and the CRYING at all hours, I know that I&#8217;ll look back fondly on this time and claim it slipped away too fast.<\/p>\n<p>The last month has been amazing. \u00a0Eye-opening. \u00a0Jaw-dropping. \u00a0Terrifying. \u00a0I looked forward to having Wes for so long but I didn&#8217;t know how much he would change me once he got here. \u00a0Actually, he&#8217;s changed all of us. \u00a0For the better. \u00a0He&#8217;s been a part of our family for for four short weeks and yet I cannot imagine what my life was like before him.<\/p>\n<p>We feel very, very lucky.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/DSC_7907sm.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2871\" title=\"DSC_7907sm\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/06\/DSC_7907sm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"498\" height=\"750\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, I&#8217;m serious. \u00a0Our Sweet Wes is already a month old. \u00a0It feels like it passed so fast, but it might be the sleepless haze I&#8217;m living in that \u00a0has erased so much of the last 4 weeks for me.
