{"id":2233,"date":"2010-02-07T17:57:56","date_gmt":"2010-02-07T21:57:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/?p=2233"},"modified":"2010-02-07T17:57:56","modified_gmt":"2010-02-07T21:57:56","slug":"glorious-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/?p=2233","title":{"rendered":"Glorious weekend!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While my parents were shoveling themselves out of 30 inches of snow this weekend, we were enjoying nothing but sunshine. \u00a0I&#8217;m not sure when or how it happened, but our weekend was jam-packed with goodness. \u00a0A long overdue birthday dinner for Jaia, Auntie Vinnie and I was held at my brother&#8217;s house on Friday night. \u00a0Indian food lovingly made by Vinnie&#8217;s mama filled all of our bellies. \u00a0Delish. \u00a0And well worth the wait.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/DSC_3463sm.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2236\" title=\"DSC_3463sm\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/DSC_3463sm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"463\" height=\"700\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/DSC_3489sm.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2237\" title=\"DSC_3489sm\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/DSC_3489sm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"432\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Saturday was spent at the canal soaking up the sun. \u00a0We met up with some dear local and long distance friends for a skate\/walk and, of course, a Beavertail. \u00a0It was beautiful and packed on the ice. \u00a0Jaia and her dad skated for awhile and then joined me for a stroll while the rest made it from one end to the other and back. \u00a0As the sun went down, so did the temperature. \u00a0To warm up we headed back to the Woodses for a warm meal and a ridiculously good time. \u00a0I have seriously not laughed that hard in a long time. \u00a0It was just what I needed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/DSC_3500sm.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2239\" title=\"DSC_3500sm\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/DSC_3500sm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"432\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/DSC_3505sm.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2240\" title=\"DSC_3505sm\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/DSC_3505sm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"432\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/DSC_3508sm.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2241\" title=\"DSC_3508sm\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/DSC_3508sm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"432\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Today was also beautiful. \u00a0Though far less action-packed, we were able to sneak in two walks in the sunshine. \u00a0I haven&#8217;t had this much vitamin D in months. \u00a0C&#8217;mon, spring! \u00a0We&#8217;re ready and eager for your return.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/IMG_0205sm.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2242\" title=\"IMG_0205sm\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/IMG_0205sm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"435\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/IMG_0207sm.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2243\" title=\"IMG_0207sm\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/02\/IMG_0207sm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While my parents were shoveling themselves out of 30 inches of snow this weekend, we were enjoying nothing but sunshine. \u00a0I&#8217;m not sure when or how it happened, but our weekend was jam-packed with goodness. \u00a0A long overdue birthday dinner for Jaia, Auntie Vinnie and I was held at my brother&#8217;s house on Friday night.
