{"id":1761,"date":"2009-08-13T21:18:01","date_gmt":"2009-08-14T01:18:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/?p=1761"},"modified":"2009-08-13T21:18:01","modified_gmt":"2009-08-14T01:18:01","slug":"the-bloggers-three-et-al","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/?p=1761","title":{"rendered":"The Bloggers Three et al"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are in Victoria, BC. \u00a0It&#8217;s my first time here and certainly as far West as I&#8217;ve ever been. \u00a0I had a few missions while here and all have been accomplished. \u00a0I even did some things that I had not intended on doing but was forced into- by my own clutzyness.<\/p>\n<p>First of all, I wanted to see the ocean. \u00a0We visited in Vancouver briefly while we ate fudge and watched Jaia run in circles as her chocolate high kicked in. \u00a0Those pictures deserve their own post and I plan to get on that when I have more time.<\/p>\n<p>But back to the ocean visit in Victoria. \u00a0I get so easily distracted.<\/p>\n<p>This morning Kris and Kurt picked us up and took us to the Victoria breakwater. \u00a0It was beautiful but FREEZING. \u00a0Not just the water, but the air. \u00a0It felt like November. \u00a0We were not bundled near enough and dipping my toe in the water was out. of. the. question. \u00a0So though my skin did not touch the water, I still feel like the mission was accomplished.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1765\" title=\"DSC_7830sm\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/DSC_7830sm.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_7830sm\" width=\"499\" height=\"750\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1766\" title=\"DSC_7840sm\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/DSC_7840sm.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_7840sm\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1767\" title=\"DSC_7877sm\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/DSC_7877sm.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_7877sm\" width=\"600\" height=\"399\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In fact, very unexpectedly, I ended up closer to the water than I planned. \u00a0As I ran towards Dan and Jaia to take advantage of a super photo op, my cellphone fell out of my pocket, which I then proceeded to kick off the edge of the breakwater. \u00a0Thankfully there was another ledge below and that it didn&#8217;t go flying straight into the Pacific, as I thought it might. \u00a0I climbed down to get it and after a quick replace of the back cover, it was good as&#8230;well, good as a phone that had been kicked off a breakwater. \u00a0It now has a few boo boos, but they make it unique looking and now make for a good story.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1763\" title=\"DSC_7855sm\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/DSC_7855sm.jpg\" alt=\"DSC_7855sm\" width=\"499\" height=\"750\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The other thing I really wanted to do while here, other than catch up Kris, was to finally meet <a href=\"http:\/\/interpretivestance.blogspot.com\/\">Heather<\/a> face to face. \u00a0Another mission accomplished. \u00a0Yesterday, Heather, Kris and I met up for coffee before our dinner for 12 people so we could really get a chance to chat. \u00a0It was awesome. \u00a0We&#8217;ve been &#8216;friends&#8217; for a couple of years, but had never spoken or seen each other in real life. \u00a0Turns out, I really like her. \u00a0Kris has wonderful taste in friends&#8230;obviously. \u00a0\ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1771\" title=\"Bloggers 3\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/08\/Bloggers-3.jpg\" alt=\"Bloggers 3\" width=\"600\" height=\"354\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are in Victoria, BC. \u00a0It&#8217;s my first time here and certainly as far West as I&#8217;ve ever been. \u00a0I had a few missions while here and all have been accomplished. \u00a0I even did some things that I had not intended on doing but was forced into- by my own clutzyness.
