Last week sucked.\u00a0 Who knew you could so much crappy stuff could happen all at once.\u00a0 I’m glad we are into a new week and THANKFULLY for my head and heart, the exact opposite is happening for me this time.<\/p>\n
I, just yesterday,\u00a0made a major decision\/received some\u00a0truly amazing\u00a0news, got a fantastic haircut, and, in just 2 more sleeps, leave for a week in Paris!\u00a0 Ooh la la!<\/p>\n
I am not a very well-travelled gal.\u00a0 I’d venture to say that I didn’t ‘actually’ travel until I met Dan in 2002.\u00a0 I had been on an airplane a few times to Washington, where my parents were living and once out to Nova Scotia for a weekend, but I had never actually been anywhere else.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Then Dan – who has travelled all over the world –\u00a0and I started taking an\u00a0annual trip.\u00a0 My first time flying over an ocean was when we went to the Dominican Republic in the spring of 2003.\u00a0 I was 28 years old.\u00a0 We’ve since been to\u00a0Peru, Jamaica, back to the Dominican Republic and, of course, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia.\u00a0<\/p>\n
So yes, I’ve seen a tiny bit of the world, more than some, but there is so much more to discover.\u00a0 And this weekend\u00a0I will be making the biggest trip of my young life.\u00a0 And I haven’t even started packing yet.<\/p>\n
Mostly it is because I\u00a0have no idea what to pack on a\u00a0trip like this.\u00a0 Other than comfortable shoes – that’s the one thing people keep telling me (over and over and over).\u00a0 But more importantly for me is my camera.\u00a0 And my lenses.\u00a0 That is literally the one thing that is charged, packed and ready by the door.\u00a0 If I forget everything else, as long as I have my camera and loads of memory cards (and comfortable shoes, apparently), I’ll be ok.<\/p>\n
Any seasoned travellers\/frequent Paris visitors that wanna offer up any advice to the rookie?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
