{"id":1354,"date":"2009-04-12T14:13:35","date_gmt":"2009-04-12T18:13:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/?p=1354"},"modified":"2009-04-12T14:13:35","modified_gmt":"2009-04-12T18:13:35","slug":"easter-friday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/?p=1354","title":{"rendered":"Easter Friday."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We had our Easter hunt on Friday morning.\u00a0 My mom was in town and leaving today, so we wanted to not have to rush through and take the time to properly enjoy Jaia&#8217;s first hunt.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-1357 alignnone\" title=\"dsc_0631sm-copy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/dsc_0631sm-copy-680x1024.jpg\" alt=\"dsc_0631sm-copy\" width=\"408\" height=\"614\" \/><br \/>\nAs I mentioned, we had not said much about Easter to Jaia prior to a few days before, but the promise of candies delivered by a bunny was enough to fuel excitement since the first mention.\u00a0 She woke up Friday morning asking if the bunny had come for a visit.\u00a0 And he had.\u00a0 The night before dan and I stuffed little plastic eggs with skittles and jelly beans and gummi bears.\u00a0 See, we are still in the middle of the elimination diet and you cannot find chocolate without dairy and\/or soy in it.\u00a0 So this Easter was, for the first time in my life, 100% chocolate free.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-1356 alignnone\" title=\"dsc_0629-1sm-copy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/dsc_0629-1sm-copy-679x1024.jpg\" alt=\"dsc_0629-1sm-copy\" width=\"407\" height=\"614\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-1362\" title=\"dsc_0639-1sm\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/dsc_0639-1sm-682x1024.jpg\" alt=\"dsc_0639-1sm\" width=\"409\" height=\"614\" \/><\/p>\n<p>But Jaia didn&#8217;t notice.\u00a0 She came down the stairs and noticed a small pink egg hiding behind a frame right away.\u00a0 She squealed!\u00a0 And to be quite honest, that one egg would have been enough.\u00a0 But there was so much more, hidden &#8211; though not really hidden &#8211; all around the kitchen and living room.\u00a0 She had so much fun and ate so much candy.\u00a0 She kept stopping to rush over to me, throw her arms around my neck and tell me she loves me.\u00a0 I think she was happy.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve since hidden the candy again, this time completely out of sight.\u00a0 If not, it would all be gone by now.\u00a0 Easily.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-1363\" title=\"dsc_0638sm-copy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/04\/dsc_0638sm-copy-680x1024.jpg\" alt=\"dsc_0638sm-copy\" width=\"408\" height=\"614\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We had our Easter hunt on Friday morning.\u00a0 My mom was in town and leaving today, so we wanted to not have to rush through and take the time to properly enjoy Jaia&#8217;s first hunt.
