Jaia has started to ask hard questions.\u00a0 Questions I’ve never thought about before and some I can’t easily anwer.<\/p>\n
It started at dinner the other night.\u00a0 Dan did something silly and I said he was weird.\u00a0 Jaia looks up at me and says, “Mama, what does ‘weird’ mean?”\u00a0 I chuckled to myself because I had no idea how to answer so that a 2 year old would understand.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“It’s like something that’s …funny.”<\/p>\n
She laughs her maniacal laugh and says, “Mama, weird isn’t funny!”.<\/p>\n
Ummm..ok.\u00a0 She has a point.\u00a0 Jaia 1 – Mama 0.<\/p>\n
Not 10 minutes later, we were talking about what we’d have for Easter dinner.\u00a0 Jaia looks up at me and asks, “Mama, what’s Easter dinner?”<\/p>\n
Crud.\u00a0 She got me again.\u00a0 We have not really explained much about Easter to her at all (yes, I understand HOW last minute I left this).\u00a0 And now I have to try to squeeze it all in to properly answer her question.\u00a0 To save time and not confuse the hell out of her, I jump right over the religious part of Easter and head straight to the bunny part.\u00a0 The bunny that hides candies and chocolate part.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The words ‘candy and chocolate’ made her clap her hands with such glee and delight that\u00a0she immediately forgot all about her original question.\u00a0\u00a0 Phewf.\u00a0 Saved by sugar.<\/p>\n
