{"id":1274,"date":"2009-03-05T13:52:14","date_gmt":"2009-03-05T17:52:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.forgetful.ca\/?p=1274"},"modified":"2009-03-05T13:52:14","modified_gmt":"2009-03-05T17:52:14","slug":"simple-really","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/forgetful.ca\/?p=1274","title":{"rendered":"Simple, really."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I love BIG things simply stated.\u00a0 And it happens all the time.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll hear\u00a0some lyrics\u00a0from a song, or read a quote and I feel&#8230;moved.\u00a0 Not life-changingly moved, but sometimes it just makes me think.\u00a0 Or make\u00a0or makes me see things\u00a0from a different perspective.\u00a0 Or better yet,\u00a0makes me\u00a0feel as if I am not the\u00a0only one that has ever felt a certain way.<\/p>\n<p>I\u00a0remember back to sometime in the 80&#8217;s when Family Ties was nearing it&#8217;s end, maybe even the last episode, when Mallory Keaton stood up behind the podium to make the valecictorian address (for Alex who was no doubt locked in a closet or some other shenanigan).\u00a0 This was\u00a020 years ago (I think) and her brief message sticks with me to this day.\u00a0 &#8220;The meaning of life? That&#8217;s easy.
