<\/a>Over the last few years, and specifically the last two, I haven’t been much of a reader.\u00a0 And\u00a0I want to be.\u00a0 And I’m embarrassed to admit that I’m not.\u00a0 There just always seems to be too many other things to do.\u00a0 It’s a terrible excuse, I admit it.\u00a0 But time spent reading could otherwise be spent playing with Jaia, taking pictures, cleaning, exercising, relaxing, hanging out with Dan, blogging, SLEEPING…So reading rarely wins out.<\/p>\n

Part of the problem is the books I *try* to read.\u00a0 Because I consider my free-time limited, I want to spend it reading FABULOUS books not ones that make me yawn or ones\u00a0I have to struggle through.\u00a0 And the last few I’ve picked up have bored me to tears.\u00a0 I need something gripping.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>I blame a book I read a few months ago.\u00a0 I’m not sure if it was me or the time or the season, but I loved The Other Boleyn Girl<\/em> by Philippa Gregory.\u00a0 From page one of the 700 and some, I was completely hooked.\u00a0 I powered through it in record time and actually mourned it’s end.\u00a0 And I think I’m still in mourning.\u00a0 No other book since has had me the same way.\u00a0 And I want that again.\u00a0<\/p>\n

So I’m putting this out there to my friends and family who are avid readers…Help me choose my next book.\u00a0\u00a0I’m open to any and all suggestions – as long as they don’t begin with something like ‘…it starts off slowly’ because those, though probably amazing later on, are the worst offenders for yours truly.\u00a0<\/p>\n
